Wednesday

It's soo hot outside, but I have to keep going. Did the Capital City loop today, the opposite way I normally go.

3.73 miles
58:31 minutes (I stopped once to pick a flower, and once to give someone directions)
3.82 mph average
410.55 calories
7153 steps

Sweating out lots of toxins as well, which is an added bonus!!

Tuesday

Way too long has gone by since I walked. Saturday I worked and then had the wedding to go to. Sunday was just pure laziness and Monday I didn't want to walk in between Sylvan shifts. No excuse really! Did the Capital City loop again today except I walked from my apartment instead of parking - added almost an extra half a mile!

3.73 miles
57:11 minutes
410.88 calories
7106 steps
3.91 average mph

Really enjoying keeping track of my speed and distance. I'm not overly concerned with the calories I burn because I'm in it more to get in shape than burn a bunch of calories.

The houses around the golf course are beautiful and Brookhaven is an area I could always live in!

Friday's Jog/Walk

Walked around Capital City golf course again today. Ran a few bits of it but still can't run very far - I'm way out of shape! This pedometer app on my phone is so amazing.

3.24 miles
368.15 calories
5818 steps
45 minutes exactly
average speed: 4.32 mph (higher because I ran some parts)

Still really slow, but by running some I'm getting more in shape and cutting down my time!

Compared to Wednesday, I cut 3 minutes off my time and burned an extra 36 calories :)

Day 1

I just got back from walking around Capital City Golf Club in Brookhaven. I downloaded this new app on my phone that's a pedometer and is really nice to have. It tells me distance, time, steps, calories burned and average speed. Here's my stats for today:

47:52 is my time (horrible)
3.03 miles
332.2 calories
5810 steps

I should be able to eventually get my time down to about 30 minutes total for this route. This is about 16 minutes per mile and I would like to knock it down to about 10 minutes a mile.

Day 1: Intro

Creating this on 7/21/10 as a workout diary in a way. Posting where I walked/ran/worked out, the time I spent and the distance if known. I'm doing this in hopes of next July 4 running the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta as I tried to do this year. Also, I'm hoping to shed a few pounds in the process and get in shape.
